چکیده
Abstract Sulfidic mining waste rock is a side stream from the industry with potential environmental burden. Alkali activation promising method for transforming into construction materials. However, low reactivity of minerals can be sizeable challenge in alkali activation. In present study, was enhanced by mechanochemical treatment LiCl-containing grinding aid. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT) analysis were utilized to display structural alteration individual minerals. A schematic implication mechanism mica provided according results transmission electron microscopy (TEM) scanning (SEM). The alkaline solubility displayed chemical rock, which Si Al increased roughly 10 times 40 times, respectively. amorphization aluminosilicate achieved through assisted as sole precursor activation, 28-day compressive strength exceeding MPa under ambient curing conditions. simulation upscaled process conducted via HSC Chemistry ® software life-cycle assessment. showed that candidate geopolymer production lower carbon footprint, compared traditional Portland cement. Leaching of gold from a mechanically and mechanochemically activated waste
The intensification of leaching of gold from a waste using mechanical activation (milling in water) and mechanochemical activation (milling in thiourea solution) were studied as the pretreatment steps. The leaching of “as-received“ sample in an acid thiourea solution resulted in 78 % Au dissolution, after mechanical activation 98 % and mechanochemical activation up to 99 % of the gold was leach...
متن کاملEffect of ultrasound, low-temperature thermal and alkali pre-treatments on waste activated sludge rheology, hygienization and methane potential.
Waste activated sludge is slower to biodegrade under anaerobic conditions than is primary sludge due to the glycan strands present in microbial cell walls. The use of pre-treatments may help to disrupt cell membranes and improve waste activated sludge biodegradability. In the present study, the effect of ultrasound, low-temperature thermal and alkali pre-treatments on the rheology, hygienizatio...
متن کاملDeformation Monitoring of Waste-Rock-Backfilled Mining Gob for Ground Control
Backfill mining is an effective option to mitigate ground subsidence, especially for mining under surface infrastructure, such as buildings, dams, rivers and railways. To evaluate its performance, continual long-term field monitoring of the deformation of backfilled gob is important to satisfy strict public scrutiny. Based on industrial Ethernet, a real-time monitoring system was established to...
